Immediate Line Manager: Senior Market Officer, reporting site management activities to Head of Finance & Head of Operations The Market Supervisor role is an onsite, implementation and delivery role. Responsibilities include supporting Market Management with day-to-day tasks whilst delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Working 5 days out of 7 where Sunday is a day off, 40 hours a week.

Job Purpose Statement
The Market Supervisor will provide key operational support to Morley Market, helping the site achieve its overall business goals. The role will be accountable for ensuring Health & Safety compliance, managing site maintenance, and supporting market traders.
- Trader Relationships:
- Maintain a highly visible presence to build strong relationships with traders.
- Key Holder Responsibilities:
- Open and close the market, activate alarms, and respond to fire and intruder alarm callouts.
- Security Management:
- Handle security issues, including dealing with troublemakers and theft, and liaise with local police as required.
- Site Maintenance:
- Consult with contractors to maintain cleanliness across the site.
- Monitor and report on the performance of suppliers and contractors.
- Provide basic repairs and maintenance for the site and traders.
- Waste Management and Recycling:
- Oversee waste and recycling contracts, addressing performance issues and missed collections.
- Health & Safety:
- Uphold compliance with Health & Safety standards, including Fire Safety Procedures, evacuations, and incident management.
- Ensure all compliance paperwork is accurate and up to date, including Daily Risk Assessments and COSHH records.
- Contract Management:
- Manage maintenance contracts and evaluate contractor performance.
- Rent Collection:
- Assist with weekly rent collection.
- Regulation Enforcement:
- Enforce market rules, regulations, licenses, and company procedures.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Market Officer.
- Support the completion of weekly reporting to senior teams.
- Customer Satisfaction:
- Maintain a consistent focus on customer satisfaction.
- Trader Support:
- Promote positive, efficient, and productive relationships with traders.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform delegated duties during staff shortages or as requested by the line manager.
- Apply innovative and entrepreneurial thinking aligned with the broader company strategy.
